‘Hate Me First’ is a vibrant break-up song full of melodic guitar licks, shimmery cymbals and Lauren’s strong, sassy vocals sharing a story of competitiveness between old lovers.
Lauren said: “Hate Me First is all about your ex telling bad things about you to your mates. I got really insecure that friends would turn against me and think I was a terrible person, but in reality, it’s not like that. We’re all grown ups, but I wanted to write a song about that moment of – f*ck you, I’m moving on”. Reader, there are swears in this song- it is not for the faint-hearted!
The ‘Fun’ EP is pegged for release in September 2021 with Babywoman Records.
