Coronavirus has destroyed nearly every industry going, not to mention anything to do with the arts. However, instead of letting her equipment gather dust during social distancing, photographer Anna Burton is one of the few photographers bringing a new post modern edge to fashion photography – all with the power of FaceTime.
Distance is no hurdle with the power of a strong WiFi connection and a willing model. Media and Communications graduate Anna turned her hand to technology, capturing these cutting edge photos with just an iPad and a camera. The photos seem to show a portal into a Fifth Element world, bold, bright patterns and sharp edges live in the screen, placed in a seemingly ordinary living room.
Anna said: “I was introduced to FaceTime photoshoots from my friends. Every shoot is different, models tell me what they’re going to wear so I try to change the background accordingly. Tasha had a lot of clothes from a vintage store so I tried to match her with a funky background. Thankfully my house mate had the best pillow!”
Anna is a nightlife and portrait photographer. Check out more of her work on her Instagram.
