Words by Erin Grace.
Angelic yet haunting synths carry an air of mystery as the vocals descend with delicately hypnotic melodies. Introducing Coventry duo, They Come For You In The Night, the love child of Enya, FeverRay and Grimes.
The celestial-esque dream-pop, synth wave two piece, are releasing their upcoming EP, ‘Selene’.
You can hear their debut single ‘Don’t Let The Night Be Starless’ from the EP here –
The band carry an abstract blend of atmospheric synth-wave and spacious electronica, woven into an avant garde pop realm with a chilled and nostalgic energy born from singer/song-writer Alice Weston and multi-instrumentalist/sound engineer Daniel Faulkner.
The EP ‘Selene’ brings to life stories surrounding a parallel world, whereby in this world we went to space in the 1920’s, and instead of Americanisation, Egypt has remained a superpower since the age of the pharaohs – to the extent that we write in hieroglyphics, and the space command base is in ‘Nile Valley’.
